Suicidal thoughts include the desire to take one's own life. The word "suicidal thoughts" has no established definition in the medical profession, nonetheless.



SYMPTOMS OF SUICIDE: 


Suicidal thoughts and plans can cause changes in a person's speech, emotions, and behaviour. They may Trusted Source : 

* discuss their feelings of guilt or humiliation, their burdensome nature, or death. 

* The individual may go through 

Sharp mood swings or variations in mood 

* terrible emotional suffering 

* extreme anxiety, despair, or fury feeling trapped or empty

* there is no reason to living


Their behavior may also change. A person contemplating suicide may:

  • withdrawal from friends or family
  • use alcohol or drugs more frequently
  • sleep or eat more or less
  • take dangerous risks
  • research ways to die
  • stockpile medications
  • make a plan for their suicide
  • purchase a gun
  • make a will
  • give away important possessions or money
  • say goodbye

Not everyone who is thinking about suicide shows these warning signs. Sometimes, the signs may be subtle.
